How to read jewelry gold prices
“Jewelry gold price” searches usually mean what you can buy or sell for today. This site’s jewelry page converts international gold into a Taiwan theoretical buy and lists estimated sell (about +4% on theoretical buy). Neither is a shop board or a Product/Offer.

What theoretical buy means
Theoretical buy = COMEX (or spot fallback) × Bank of Taiwan USD spot-sell as TWD/qian cost. It approximates an international-plus-FX floor without dealer spread, making, tax or shipping.
It is usually below a shop’s sell board and is not the same as what a shop will bid to buy from you.
Why estimated sell is +4%
Estimated sell = theoretical buy × 1.04, a fixed site assumption for a common Taiwan sell-premium band — not a national board and not tuned per shop.
Brand jewelry, making charges and promotions move real prices further away. Check the live jewelry page fields and notes.
Don’t mix buy, sell and recycle
Buying from a shop differs sharply from selling scrap back. Use the recycling page and estimate guide for purity and loss. USD/oz belongs on the COMEX page.
Taiwan-market briefs appear under Market news → Taiwan market — still reference only.

Theoretical buy and estimated sell are not shop boards; +4% is an estimate only. Not investment advice. No invented Offer schema.
Jewelry gold price FAQ
Is estimated sell a posted shop price?
No. It is theoretical buy plus about 4% for band comparison — not a board and not Offer markup.
Why is my shop higher or lower?
Shops add inventory, making, brand and risk. Theory only covers international gold and FX. Use the shop’s same-day board.
Where should I look if I want to sell gold?
Start with gold recycling prices and the estimate guide. Jewelry estimated sell is a buy-side comparison, not a recycle bid.
