What is COMEX gold / how to read it
COMEX gold futures are among the most cited USD gold references worldwide. This site’s international page follows GC-style USD/oz quotes plus silver, platinum and palladium. A public spot fallback may appear if futures are limited — still a market reference, not an executable board.

Units and fields on the page
The main unit is USD per troy ounce. Percent changes come from the data vendor. Closures, rolls or delays are labeled; the last valid quote is kept.
The gold/silver ratio (when shown) is gold ÷ silver on the same page — see the dedicated guide. Global quotes add more currencies and weights.
Why it is not a jewelry price
Jewelry quotes still need FX into TWD/qian plus shop costs. Use the jewelry page for theoretical buy/sell and the homepage for Taiwan qian overview.
Futures have rolls and basis; short-term prints can differ from “spot” intuition. The site labels source switches and never invents prints.
Read with the news
Rates, the dollar and central-bank talk often move USD gold. Economy & rates and policy categories on Market news pair with the COMEX page — still not trade signals.

COMEX FAQ
Is COMEX gold spot or futures?
The site mainly tracks COMEX gold futures (GC). If limited, a public spot reference may appear and is labeled. Neither is a jewelry executable.
How does USD/oz become TWD/qian?
Multiply Bank of Taiwan USD spot-sell, then convert via grams and 3.75 g per qian. See the Taiwan qian guide and jewelry page.
Why did the number stop?
Usually a close, maintenance or delay. The page keeps the last valid quote and labels status instead of inventing prices.
