- Enter weight and unitEnter weight and choose gram, qian or tael. See the gold units guide if labels are unfamiliar.
- Choose purityPick 999.9, 916, 750, or a custom percent (e.g. ~58.5 for 14K). Match the stamp; do not assume a higher karat.
- Read the recycle referenceThe figure is theoretical buy × purity × weight — fine-gold content only. Testing, loss and fees are excluded; it is not a trade price.

How is the gold recycling price estimated?
The gold recycling price starts from the Taiwan theoretical buy and multiplies by purity (999.9, 916, 750). Theoretical buy comes from the COMEX gold reference and Bank of Taiwan USD spot-sell. It is not a dealer bid. See the recycling estimate guide for the formula.
Can I sell at the estimate?
No. The estimate does not deduct testing, loss or handling fees. Confirm weight, purity and any deductions with a shop. See “Gold recycling process & checklist” before you visit.
What is the difference between 999.9, 916 and 750?
They are purity ratios. 999.9 uses the full theoretical buy; 916 and 750 scale down. The result is fine-gold content, not a bar or jewelry shop price. See the gold units guide for gram/qian/tael.
Can I estimate silver recycling here?
This calculator focuses on gold purity. Silver, platinum and palladium follow different rules; we do not invent a silver or platinum buy board. Spoken “白金” may be platinum, white gold or confused with silver — see “Platinum, white gold, and silver.” USD references are on the COMEX page. Confirm any trade in store.
Should the recycle estimate use qian or ounces?
The estimate starts from Taiwan theoretical buy in TWD per qian. Weight can be grams, qian or tael. This site uses 1 qian = 3.75 g. Do not paste the COMEX USD per troy ounce figure in as a buy price. The result excludes testing, loss and fees and is not a dealer bid.
